I am not 100% sure but I am like 90% sure that the discount stores are the ones who carried the cheap "Authentics" Transformers and GI Joe. I saw for myself them carrying PVC keychain-figurines of Transformers I didn't see in any normal retailer.
So they do carry shit that never made its way to I guess you could call "prime retail," and it's shit that's deliberately made to be as cheap as possible.
