I think we're both a little bit right since Toho treats him so weirdly with copyright and naming. They even refer to the baby as Godzilla in the anime, and then use GODZILLA and Zilla (especially in Matt Frank's comics), and Gojira (1998), and whatnot. The latest merch. refers to him Godzilla (1998) so I go with that by default. I don't know, lets just say we're both right in our own ways. Like you and I said, not the hill to die on. Not worth our energy arguing over semantics that even Toho doesn't seem to be sure of.
