Every time I make one of these display cases I fuck it up somehow. It's really difficult to glue the plexiglass panels together without the extremely thin glue which seems to be even thinner than alcohol flowing all over the place, and sanding the edges down seems to make gluing even more difficult. These weird scratch marks appeared when I glued them together which usually doesn't happen.
Still, making these is worth it because without them dust would collect all over my models and it protects them from my cats which like to jump up on my display shelves.
I fucking hate rigging too, it's so fucking tedious and I had to look up tons of reference photos to understand what it looks like, then find a way to connect all the rigging to the ship itself, it's really a massive pain in the ass. I wish more photo etch makers would take into account rigging and give modelers the proper photo etch to deal with it. The only kit I've ever built that showed me a guide to rigging was a Hasegawa Shimakaze kit I built years ago.
