>>7231305>you sound fairly new to buying NECA figuresNo, not at all. I was listing what I'd bought so far just in the last few months. I've been buying their stuff since they came on the scene man, Gremlins, Cult Classics, Player Select, etc. I'm not some newbie, I'm very, very familiar with the figures and have been very happy with almost all my purchases. Now if you consider 20+ years of toy buying being lucky, I think you need to reconsider what luck is.
I'm not ignorant to QC issues either, but I also know what's a real problem, like that alien that person posted, and what's clear trolling like what this thread turned into last night. There's a difference. There is. I've had more issues buying DC Direct/Collectibles figures than I have NECA, but I'll still buy a figure of theirs. I don't go into the DC or Marvel threads and deride the company, or the people that buy the toys, but it's okay when people do it here? That's ridiculous. I buy from so many companies, there's always some kind of qualm or problem, but there's never, ever been anything that's made me go "Nah, fuck that company."
Like, my NECA Nightmare Before Christmas figures, perfect, perfect representations of those characters, I loved that line, own every single one. But a lot of them are crumbling now, because of clear plastic. Do I go "Ugh fuck NECA!" because of that? No. I hate that it happens, and I hate that they were using clear plastic at all. But they did. I'll have to super glue 80% of those figures at some point, but it is what it is. The company changed and improved and that's all I can really hope for.
And yeah it sucks if you can't get replacements if you're not American, but that's the problem of being a smaller company. I have nothing to offer you there, that's how it is, and it sucks. That's the world though, sucky.
