If you mean specifically this one, it appears to have hobbybase joints or some equivalent, so definitely posable. In this case, this model would be a totally original sculpt, since the original game was all 2D art. The joints on the original character (supposed to be based on a bug, so it's gaps in the chitin I guess) work perfectly for the joints they are using.
I need to dig thru this twitter, looks like they sculpted it and made a mold and casted this.
