But if you look at Todd's comic book and toy history, the female characters have usually had a certain sex appeal that in recent years has been dropped in favor of more realistic (and thus non-controversial) designs. This can be a WB thing for all I know, but the "kids isle" doesn't work when I grew up with Timm's designs that were marketed at kids and still had a big distinction between the male and female form. If you make a superhero look too ordinary part of the appeal just goes away. That's why comic-based figures are more popular than movie releases.
