Next up, the Georgios Averof. An armoured cruiser snapped up by Greece when Italy decided it didn't really want her she went on to chase off the Turkish navy pretty much on her own in the Balkan war, today she's a museum ship found just outside of Athens and the last armoured cruiser (as in the specific pre-dreadnought ship type, not just a cruiser with armour). Biggest reason I'm building it is because I dropped by when I was in Athens back in 2016.
The kit, which somewhat surprisingly exists, is a 1/700 resin affair with PE included from a Greek guy. It ain't cheap. Casting seems good overall, with some stunningly thin bits here and there, though there's a few flaws underneath the hull to be ground off.
>>7452767Cute little thing. The transparencies seem somewhat not though. Are you aiming for the wargame side of things with that paintjob?
>>7453473A lighted AFV? That'll be a neat bit of variation.
>>7453492I think these vehicles usually had some lamps inside to make up for the shortage of windows, helps for the loader and so to see what he's doing.
