>>11546883>>11547679>Is quality good, do the tentacles feel durable?Quality is great with some things, just ok with others. The bases are nice and solid, they're clear plastic thats been painted, so they won't mark up your shelf since the bottom is clear. The stand on adult version is solid and holds him up. Tentacles seem sturdy so far, I don't think they're so delicate that the wires will break if you're a bit careless or anything. I think it will take a lot of time or a lot of bending and twisting like you're trying to wear out a wire to make these break. The small ones feel more delicate than the large ones, but the small ones are much easier to pose. To pose the large ones I have to pop them out of the base and bend the shit out of them.
The worst is that I see some paint issues already. For reference I've had these only since Friday afternoon. I pose them, snap a photo, and then immediately return them to neutral (except last night I accidentally left Larva posed in some extremes but nothing bad happened to him, so I think this is a matter of paint defects on certain tentacles).
So on the large tentacles with suckers, if you bend it somewhere, it will immediately develop wrinkles in that area. It seems to happen worse on the pink inside than the purple outside. I don't really mind it, NBD to me.
There are these little 2-dot spots on the small tentacles, like they used something to hold them or poke at them during manufacturing, and it fucked up the paint. Not super noticeable unless youre really close up, and you can just turn them so it isnt visible, but still they are there. I noticed today that one out of the 6 small tentacles on the Adult version has paint cracking where those dots are. So, that's 1 out of 10 small tentacles I recieved? You can only see it when it's bent in a certian way.
I'll have to count how many small tentacles have this dot defect, and watch those areas closely for paint cracking. Everywhere else seems fine.
