>>9989330As an owner of the CW molds with the PE upgrades, I have mixed feelings. Like Motormaster is a shit torso but a fun truck lad, and full credit given for actually forming the torso rather than just plugging into a skeleton (even if the Legacy is the best attempt at that approach, legs aside). Legacy Motormaster looks very good as a robot and about on par as a truck, albeit a different looking truck. And whilst LG has the trailer (out of necessity), it's also not a particularly attractive trailer and honestly if you just wanted MM on his own as a fun truck robot, I'd suggest getting him on eBay without the trailer.
The limb-bots are funny. Dead End and Wildrider are pretty fun and honestly, whilst they look different, are nice to look at, whilst the LG counterparts suffer from wonky looking legs (Dead End) and restricted shoulders + shit backpack (Wildrider). Breakdown is a bit "meh" in robot mode but his car mode is nice, and we haven't seen LG Breakdown yet. LG Dragstrip looks very good to be fair, though then again CW Dragstrip is pretty stellar and has a much nicer colour scheme than LG.
Combined mode for LG looks better, though with the upgrades, CW is actually pretty alright. Yes you cheat a bit with the armour (which I generally detach and just keep to the side when he's disassembled), but I feel having a suit of armour keeping an otherwise "proper" combiner stable is actually less cheaty than the entire combiner just being Motormaster's trailer with MM himself slotting into the top, the arm-bots having to split apart to fill out the otherwise complete arms, and the leg-bots being invisible from the front. Also CW's sword (especially with the extra part) fucking mogs the LG version.
I guess what I'm trying to say is Menasor is kinda doomed as far as G1 versions go. A shame as his G1 toy was basically transforming Hot Wheels that combined, which is cool, but people remember the cartoon version.
That said, RID Menasor proper toy when?
