The base is pretty cheap construction. If you have the old Marvel Legends stands that Hasbro packed with figures, you know what you're in for. The wall section is the most robust piece. But the way it all clicks together (the floor has a seam directly beneath the wall) makes it so if you don't have the floor exactly right, it'll look warped. The door pegs down to the floor, which is fine, but if it's not there, there are kind of large pegs sticking up from the base.
The Vader statue looks pretty great, but yes, it's a statue. It comes in four parts that you have to peg together, and there is zero articulation to it, where they could have at least put some cut joints. The saber blade is a brighter red than any blade they've done, and is a bitch to put in for some reason. It should fit onto other saber handles if you just want that bit.
The lights stay on for about 30 seconds and flicker. The base takes 2 AAA batteries. For $15, it's a terrific prop, but their original asking price was robbery. They should have just released the floor and wall section without the Vader statue, and I would have been happy to pay $15 just for that.
