>>11635838>>11635869>>11635880You guys are ridiculous
You're looking at eBay prices and you think kids go onto ebay to buy shit on the secondary market? You're worse than that Simpsons meme where it's the kids that are wrong, because Seymour at least remmebers what it was like to be a kid.
KIDS DONT USE EBAY. They only buy whatever is popular RIGHT NOW. Even 20 year olds care more about the CURRENT SHIT than some vintage nobody that only grandpas care about.
And most anything that is popular with kids is worthless shit, that's there's a ton of product for on the shelves. Shit that's plentiful because it's what kids want and toy companis are making bank off these products.
In 20 years, that shit that seemingly shelf warmed forever is going to be worth money. All those Thundercats, those ExoSquads, Hot Wheels, fucking MASK vehicles, fucking Earthbounds going for 90-95% off in discount bins: there are modern day equivalents to these, and they're going to be worth a fucking fortune... if AI and robots haven't taken over by then. So the kids of today will only be using eBay 10 or 20 years from now, overpaying for dumb shit you grandpas hate.
Pic related. Sold in the millions and stores were still left with overstock, because kids bought their fill, but now go for 5-20x their MSRP, because former kids want to relive their childhoods or get whatever they missed out on the first time because they were kids with shitty allowances.
Also, it's funny how you talk about how everything today is shit, yet they were saying the same things in the 90s. And now so much dumb shit from the 90s was brought back because the 90s kids have nostalgia for dumb shit from the 90s.
