Got the Frozen ii Elsa classic doll and honestly, the new all-paper packaging was actually a very good idea.
It’s still doesn’t justify increasing the price from $17 to $20 but as a concession, it’s super easy to open and there are no plastic staples inside the head (that can be difficult to remove without messing up a doll’s hairstyle) or tags tacking the clothes down (that leave holes in the fabric) like in typical window boxes.
The doll literally just slides out, no twist ties tags or any of that, just a single elastic band securing the hair.
The doll herself is nicely designed. her sheer trains? Capes? Whatever they’re called, are a bit wrinkled but I’ll take that over holes in the fabric. Her leggings are a super soft material and have an ombre gradient, starting off as white and fading to pale blue near the ankles.
I want the classic dolls to go back to having animal/sidekick figurines as a permanent addition (This doll would’ve been great if she included the little salamander) but I’ll take a doll brush over a child sized ring or pendant because at least the brush is useful.
Also spicy opinion but I actually like this snow spirit dress better than Elsa’s original ice dress.
