>>8499862>>8499867I just get figures because they look nice and pose well. I don't have any autism about repeating characters as long as the toy is good enough on it's own, though I do try to get wackier repaints if they exist just for variety's sake. That's why I own maybe 3 or 4 MPs: they are more focused on looking good in a static pose for the shelver market that being good, which is now the case for both official and unofficial now.
Hopefully the Hasbro crackdown forces 3p to make legitimately unique homages or try more unique markets. I'd love to see an out-there reimagining of figures like what IF is doing with their Lio Prime and Bludgeon. Hell, going nuts with wild ideas is what made Titans Return/Legends so good. Headmaster Lio Prime is still one of my favorite figures ever, especially since I have several designs of Optimus heads to give him. I just want fun again. It's how 3p started, and I just want it to go back before we had 7 versions of the same mp combiner coming out for a billion freedom fries but all being compromised despite going for the same aesthetics. Or the 15th Constructor recolor.
