>>6710729Thank you for understanding instead of attacking me for not putting G1 on a pedestal. It wasn't an entirely bad viewing experience. Optimus is still the best robot dad ever, Soundwave is still cool, Megatron smacking around Starscream will never not be funny. But those are the standout characters everyone seems to remember. Most of the cast is just sorta there and they have one note personalities.
It's too bad because my biggest exposure to G1 was playing the Devastation game and when I watched the cartoon I was hoping to see something similar. When I saw Optimus form his energon axe against Megatron on that dam I was like OH BOY HERE WE GO but then they just smack each other around like it's a newspaper.
