>>11210962I never cared for Forge World and all resin/$ related mini bullshit, but I always appreciated "atmosphere" of Heresy campaigns that were written by the likes of Alan Bligh (RIP) and others. They made a very compelling and gritty sub-setting for military history enthusiasts, and the way they were written was very akin to pseudo-historic books.
Badab Wars was also the masterpiece, and I feel like it's Heresy related, even if it was far up in 40k, but it had plenty of Heresy exclusive stuff sprinkled in as relic gear. I've devoured all Black/Imperial Armour books and asked for more.
Amazing art and dioramas that made universe feel real.
So the second I got the opportunity to actually nab these figures that I were seeing in books, I jumped in right away.
