I need help, my Topcoat is frosting the paint of my models and I don't know what part of the process I'm doing wrong.
Essentially, my paint process is this: Primer > Paint > Decal > TopCoat.
I've been using Tamiya Paint and Mr. Top Coat UV Cut. I usually spray in a moving motion so that the coating doesn't clump up. I wait for it to try, then spray 1 -2 more times.
From what I've read, after applying the paint, you should coat the model with a Gloss coat like Tamiya X22 or Mr. Color GX100 SCIII, then apply the Matte Top coat so that it leaves a Satin finish and avoids frosting.
Others also suggest, that after spraying the Topcoat that you should also spray Mr Hobby Levelling Thinner after it dries so it can clear up the frosting, Though I'm not sure if this is effective or if it also makes the Top coat useless.
