I'll take this time to mention a few other oddities with Whirl.
Like the fact he comes with a big sticker sheet, with a layout for them in the instructions.
As well as four different weapons, made to advantage of the 3mm clip system at the time.

He's digitigrade here but I've very skillfully accidentally photographed him in such a way to completely hide that fact.
But yeah the knee joints are very stiff and very tight. If you don't apply the right force at the right angle they'll just snap.
