I have seen plenty of female oriented dolls with solid hair, your personal preference doesn't make soft hair better, especially when it can be such a pain to maintain. One of the funniest examples coming from my favorite series, Lalaloopsy. Which replicates a fabric doll with hard materials for... reasons. It does look good though.
