i reaaally like the mcfarlane 40k toyline so far. they have amazing sculpts and for 20 dollars you really get a bang fot your buck. i know that joytoys are incredible due to using games workshop miniatures as their base, but mcfarlane really adds some detail using their scale to the full amount.
two things that i need to adress tho:
they all miss shading and im really thinking about using some good old nuln oil here and there. and the second thing is: why the fuck do they exclusively release some figures in grey for paintfags? i mean, i get the idea. but why are they exclusive? we still miss a basic ass primaris marine carrying a bolter that is NOT grey. good thing the bandai ones are close in size.
its a shame the official promotional photos suck so bad too. the orks are really good figures but the shots on shopsites make them look really bad.
