I own PAK cyborg ninja and you have to be blind or disingenuous if you really think a PAK fig can come even a little close to the detail of that sculpt + paint. Don't get me wrong though PAK was okay on the cyborg ninja paint/design (for once), but not nearly on the level of detail to what you linked to. Hell, it's not even close.
This image captures how those joints mess with the overall flow to form and made him look way too robotic, which if you play Twin Snakes on game cube (development of the game was oversaw by HK - footage of ninja linked below), you'll see it's more a mesh suit then a blocky robotic suit (maybe they used MGS1 PS1 as reference?) which is what the PAK looked like.
I still love the figure, but I will buy a statue that I think captures him in the most accurate representation over a figure if that is what my focus is. You may have a difference in opinion and that is fine.
The Guts statue looks amazing to me as well, I completely disagree with you on thinking it looks "outright horrible". The Griffith statue I can sort of see why you don't like it, especially for that price. For me it's the face sculpt ironically, but other than that it's also pretty damn amazing with the action of white eagles flying around him as he strikes a hero pose. There is no way in hell I would be able to afford it, but I can definitely see a mega fan of that character creaming their pants to get their hands on it, and probably pay the crazy price as well.
