>>11361432>>11361461>>11361491My big issue with the current chinese/korean/whatever competitors to transformers is that the designs all just look slightly off to me. Like either they're too gundam-y (random bits of gold spikey bits), they don't look like they transform into anything, or they look like a person wearing a car-suit. Transformers really strikes a nice balance of robot design imo: they both simultaneously look mechanical, while also having a lot of personality to them. If a car could turn into a robot person, you get a transformer.
I often go to Taiwan, and I see lots of Tobot figures (and others) but pic related is one of the few I've ever actually bought. Most just don't look right to me.
