>>10337339true, and so are turtles. the key to TMNT, which so many have missed, is taking an inherently silly animal and making it as badass as the various wolves and tigers that usually show up in action shows. a ninja turtle is such a silly concept, but because they poured themselves into making it take itself seriously, it was very satisfyingly violent and cool, and the comic took off. Man I wish I'd been there for that, I was still just a task my dad was planning to get around to with my mom within the next year.
