FYI, toys are much more expensive.
With minimum wage in the 80s and 90s, you could buy a 5"-6" toy from one hour's work.
Today you can't even buy half of a 6" figure from an hour's work.
You can't even buy a properly articulated 1:18 figure with an hour's work.
Hence those cheapo 3.75" figures costing only $8, which is roughly what you get paid in an hour on minimum wage... before taxes.
