I buy lots of used Lego from yard sales. I resell the nicest pieces and keep the rest, which puts me reasonably above net-zero but not enough to treat it like a hustle. I always pick out the non-lego and misc. toys to put in a bag like pic related. I've reached the point now where if I have several thousand of a genuine Lego piece, I just throw it in the bag as well instead of inventorying it. Every time I go through a big lot I end up with one or two full garbage bags of pieces to give away for free. Now that I'm including real Lego there are kids out there getting quite decent little parts packs for the low cost of their mom browsing Facebook and simply getting in the car when my bag pops up.
