As I remember we had a number of established lands that were routinely in conflict, I think that was how we established that dinosaurs and micro machines and army men could all find themselves on the same battlefield, with the ever-present dread of an Atomizer strike from my Lego forces heh. He was really into cowboys and indians so he had a bunch of their plastic figures, the indians under the cruel leadership of the nefarious Medicine Man. I miss those carefree times, we had a set of wooden blocks that became ruins, fortresses, lines of defense... still got a large container of those plastic pogs that were toothed and could be joined together, they made for great improvised forts and bunkers.
Someday I gotta find the space and time to do epic-scale battlefields again, it's been far too long and I've grown my various collections considerably since the last time.
