The same thing happened with the diehard EU fanatics back in 2014. When the EU purge happened, their response was to defecate into their hands and throw it in every direction. They ended up alienating people who otherwise would've actually been interested to hear their case because rather than present any kind of reasonable point that spoke to their passion as fans, they instead just went around screaming DISNEY KILLED STAR WARS IF YOU GIVE DISNEY MONEY YOU ARE A TRAITOR and killed their own movement before it could ever gain any real ground.
