No. No, I'm rather certain that much of what they adapted was for far more pragmatic rights and royalty related reasons. They were really good at hype farming themselves back then I'll grant them that, Wizard Magazine was all over their knob with these stories. So they did get attention and reviews, but honestly I really don't see too many people looking as fondly at them as I do classic stories
