>>8739591Real thing = 100$ official product, no mold defects, color matched and readily available second hand.
Knock off sh studio recast = 50 - 70$ bootleg, lots of warped parts, mold lines, missing or broken pieces, inaccurate washed out colors, available from many shops that may vary well be scams.
I understand wanting to save money, but why risk a defective product that comes out looking like shit to save 30 bucks.
If a kit is just absolutely impossible to find its one thing, but most of the recasters just poach kits off booth shops where the item is still available.
A while back i purchased the gadeko bootleg just to see the difference between the real kit vs the bootleg. It was not satisfactory. The joint runner was made of some pathetically cheap hard plastic rather than the insane tough material the real one. The large parts all had lost significant detail, mostly due to the giant mold lines all over them. The colors where totally different, and the chest, instead of the cool translucent bubble effect where you can see the bare chest from certain angles, you get a cloudy green lump. The air bubbles where truly terrible, they where everywhere, especially where a sharp point ended, the resin wasn't fully filling the molds, and it even effected smooth surface as well. The eye decals are actually above average though, which was very strange.
