(some pedagogy psychologist had her worries about this with wich i was pretty onboard for the most part, but she sabotaged herself a bit by mentioning cookiemonster in her initial example. (A character loved because of its a lovable and universally relatable flawed character moreso than brandrecognition)
I used to actively avoid using pieces with logos on it like Exploriens because then it would give away that it wasn't my own made up thing that i wanted it to be. I wanted to make my own worlds, not redo existing stuff.
I've really come to love all the different official Lego factions now though and happily integrate and headcanon them into my world however i please next to 100% original stuff.
