>>8821013>Hmm the original figure didn't feel like a gyp compared to the others. He was roughly the same size once you plugged in his weird arm unitsKrang does present an unusual challenge. Compare him to one of the turtles, who got a weapon tree, or one of the other characters, who either got a weapon tree or a handful of weapons, and sometimes a sidekick, Krang's toy doesn't have much in the way of upgrades.
He's a big deal for his time - an articulated robot, a clear plastic dome, and a separate Krang toy, he was effectively his own bonus sidekick. But if we're going to compare it to Super7's other updates, he's sparse. What would they include with Krang? His robot body is just the toy, and the bubble walker isn't "huge" like mutagen man or bebop to justify the value. He doesn't have a weapon rack. Which means you basically get ~5 weapons PLUS 5 painted weapons less than the other characters. His accessories were arms and a gun... so extra hands, maybe, that's standard for the line, but what else? Alt heads? Maybe you'd end up with a couple extra "Krangs" because he's basically a ball and it would be easy to do a couple "alt head" expressions, a bunch of other characters got alternate heads, after all. So do you go with it? Or only include one set of tentacles so the extra expressions feel like accessories instead of extra Krangs? What else can they include that captures the vintage feel without making him look barebones?
I mean, compare it to this bastard,
>>8820895 who comes with so much stuff they're cramming accessories into the figure's side of the packaging because he came with a whole extra body, plus the coin too. I think I would have preferred this version, but since the reaction line is the "clue" of what we're getting, it's going to be bubble walker Krang. But what will they do with him?
