My family didn’t have a ton of cash to splurge on the new Kenner Star Wars stuff when the line was hot, but just a year after ROTJ hit I was able to pick up armloads of the stuff for cheap at flea markets with my lousy $2 a week allowance, and I kept finding all sorts of crazy cast-off shit for cheap all throughout the latter half of the 80’s. Star Wars was as dead as fucking disco until those Thrawn books came out.
