My favorite toys this year, can't pick just one, any order:
-JP Hammond Collection Ceratosaurus
>classic dinosaur design without feeling overly recognizable or actually tied to JP franchise. Incredible to pose and play with, quite possibly my favorite dino toy ever
Kaiju Killer by Instinctoy/James Groman
>massive and well detailed, it's the little touches that make it for me, like the glass eye and the pouch with the little monster charm in it
Mezco Conan (same photo)
>Best Mezco figure I own. No issues, accessories work well together and figure looks incredibly badass. Been wanting Frazetta based figures for years, and this one is incredible
- Endless Trip Cosmonaut & Spaceship by Zhi Park
> Park's toy designs are some of the most fun and colorful things out there in years, and while this figure has a few flaws I love everything about how it looks. Hoping for a space alien in this style soon
- JP Retro Revival Dimetrodon by Jurassic Justin
>This 3D printed hand painted sailback is a masterpiece. Dimetrodons have long been one of my favorite prehistoric creatures and the original JP dimetro is one of my favorites from the entire toyline, and this does not disappoint.
- Glyos Bio Masters Bio Mutant
> a lot of great glyos releases this year but this is the clear standout. A single figure mold with parts to become 3-4 totally different characters, space lizard, various robots, slime monster, and more.. it's incredible and a peak example of why glyos toys are the best things to actually play with on the market
- Mezco Atticus Doom
>Another 1/12 clothed figure that feels like a mix of tons of stuff I've always wanted in a toy but never had until now. A lovecraft detective with monster heads. What's not to love? Nothing too finnicky, meaningful additional looks, fun all around
Despite generally not being into 1/12 this was a great year for clothed 1/12 figures, and a great year for toys in general. Loved a lot of things at actual retail too.
