Okay, couple things, first of all I've never liked Tom Araya, as a vocalist his shouty hardcore punk style has always annoyed me and as a person I've always kind of thought he seemed like a real jackass.
That being said, I don't think being a Christian prevents anyone from making dark music the same way a Christian could write or direct a horror movie, it's all just entertainment at the end of the day. And also, Christian metal can kick ass. I'll listen to these guys over most Slayer albums which at some point just started becoming redundant attempts to rehash ideas they've already done.
