A common one being shots from below which give characters long bodies and tiny heads whilst their actually proportions are often more regular. He also uses a lot of foreground/background to keep you guessing as to whether a character is big or small. Usually once the characters height is established it'll stay that way and won't change again later, but on their first introduction it is one of thing he purposely likes to play with, like with York for example.
