The Gandalf I picked up on eBay this week showed up today. He looks amazing. The details on Glamdring are a pretty soft so once I get a resin printer, I might print up a more realistic looking one. Also, this version as poseable fingers, which make his grip on his weapons a little loose. Still, in terms of being a display piece this definitely feels like an upgrade from the year 1 version I was more familiar with when I was a kid (my older brother was the one who owned almost all the LOTR toys which is why I didn't have any after he moved out).
