Transformers Titanium Series Optimus Prime
The second and final Titanium toy I'll be talking about.
Actually this might be a subline that newfriends don't know about at all.
It was niche, much maligned, and died unceremoniously
That 100% has to do with the line being designed by Hasbro's D team. It even says right on the instructions "Titanium Series™ is a subdivision of MicroMachines®"
The toys did improve has the line went on, but the initial Prime and Megatron poisoned the well right from the start, Since *so* much of them are diecast.
Optimus here is normal deluxe size but weighs the same as one of today's heftier leaders, like the dinobots.
The designs themselves are alright, most of the look was lifted from the then current War Within comic.
Which is something of an ancestor to a lot of Cybertronian alt modes.
You can't look at this thing and tell me WFC Prime or Animated Prime owe it nothing.
