The Cobi 1/48 scale F-16 D is a solid build, good parts (and none missing), only prints/no stickers. At under 500 pieces, it didn't kill the fingers. Built a second one and fingers still didn't ache. Still has tight block connections/clutch.
Downsides, the cramped cockpit barely fits the cobi figs. Landing gear is removeable, not retractable. Cobi tends to be more expensive than other "bootlego".
Just my opinion, I think this little jet feels fun in hand. Haven't said that about many builds ever. Another word that came to mind was fierce. It's a fun, fierce little fighter. The air intake give it an almost goofy smile, and adds to the charm for me.
