Finally went to pick the ma.k stuff, checking the instructions they have waifus drawn
>I bought them without knowing, feels goodI'm not quite sure what material is the interior of the suit pieces made of, I thought it was resin but now I'm not 100%. I guess I'll just CA it up anyway. Also painting the eyes like in the images will be fucking hard, lazy black stripes don't work well in bigger scales I think so I'll Have to practice.
>>6551533OP you lazy cunt, of all the fucking pics I did you had to put the one in the thread
>>6551335>Do most people use white spirit / mineral spirits to clean up oils, or is there something better to use?I use white spirits or odorless turpentine, white spirits are more aggressive than turpentine so I switch a bit depending of previous work in the area. But both work well and shouldn't give you trouble unless you apply too much force and scratch the varnish/paintjob.
On how to blend oils I use a 1 or 0 (can't remember but it's pretty "big") or 000 for small work, all round tipped. Then I wet the brush in thinner and blend, don't smudge it all as you get a filter, just make round motions and clean the brush of excess in thinner while working if there's too much pigment for what you want. Work it more or less depending of the tone or fading you want, add more if you need. Apply it in small dots and blend.
That's for oil dots or modulation/fading, for streaks you need to work, again with a slightly wet brush of the size you feel comfortable or need, and do upwards motions from the sides leaving the middle less touched so it's blended in the sides but more solid in the middle.
Kinda hard to explain in text but hope it makes sense or helps a bit
