The first obvious choice would be to use pick a brick/bricks and pieces, both of them are accessible from the lego website, but they have such a shitty search feature, I thought typing in the part's serial number/code is a good way but they seem to have different numbers on lego's website than brickink. to top it off, PaB's page is so horrendous because it always only shows like 25 results per page.
