Do I think it will "save the brand"? Probably not, may even hurt it even more. But after collecting 1:18 for almost my entire life before making a switch to 1:12 a couple years back, I'd really love to see those characters in a higher, updated form with more articulation, detail, and accessories. And yes, I would buy the shit out of all of it.
I think the best thing to do would release two box-sets of the main characters, just like the original 25th anniversary box-sets, and leave it at that, because that's all most people are probably gonna buy.
