Paid about $70 shipped, which was pricey but not too bad-- especially considering I paid $50-60 for the two figures I'm making my custom Kong out of, and this thing will require far less extreme modifications because the proportions are already pretty close to the Balrog.
I found models for a head and wings and I'm trying to make them look a more accurate in Zbrush. I'm also going to have to do some engineering (probably in Windows 3D builder, since despite being very limited it has some very powerful booleans interpretation) so I can attach them to the figure. The head on the left is the head I downloaded, and the one to the right of it is after a few hours of me fiddling with it.
I still need to figure out what to do for the tail. It would be great if I could snag something from a pre-existing toy that comes with some articulation on it, and then just mount it to his butt somehow. I also need to model some feet for him.
