>>10230004Anyone else feel like deals on old Lego are few and far between now? 2-3 years ago, I was picking up lots of figs for $1-$2/figure which included stuff like classic castle and even old star wars. I could find big, vintage excellent condition / even sealed sets for a couple hundred dollars. It seemed like not a lot a lot of people wanted old sets from weird themes like aquazone, studio, adventurers, etc so it was easy to find listings on them that were very reasonable by sellers just wanting to move them quick.
Lego has always been popular and deals like that were nabbed, but it was very possible and a highlight to find every once in a while. Now it feels like ebay listings are constantly patrolled and sellers are squeezing every dollar out of everything by sitting on things and listing individually rather than just moving lots of unsorted stuff that haven't been picked through.
I'm looking through my 2020 ebay purchases and I cannot believe what I was paying on some of the stuff as opposed to the values now. It feels like in that short period of time, everything pre-2010 has doubled or more in value and the marketplace has become a lot more aware and competitive.
