>>7501826>hasbro version is actually painted but has shit plasticActually, there are more unique paint apps on the Takara one than the Hasbro one when it comes to Misfire. Hasbro only has more paint because they retardedly cast certain parts in the wrong color and painted over them.
>takara has good plastic and extra stuff but is cartoon accurateI hate cartoon-accuracy as much as the next guy, but on most LG figures, it still looked pretty great.
>both have shit quality controlAll of my LG figures were great. I never heard too many complaints. I heard they even replaced the canopy on Wolfwire with a softer plastic that didn't crack.
>>7502246>they're both from the same factoriesI wish people would stop parroting this as though it means something. Just because toys are made in the same factory does not mean they're made with the same materials or to the same standards. A toy factory in Asia is just like a contractor. They just supply the labor and the facilities, but the actual materials and quality of work can vary greatly between two different clients. Anyone who owns the recent LG-EX Big Powered release can tell you that Hasbro has never in their fucking existence used a mixture of white plastic that looks as good as Takara's does. See how it's actually pure white instead of yellow/gray tinted? And see how flatly opaque it is as opposed Hasbro's whites and grays, which are usually partly translucent with a "milky" composition, and end up washing out the surface detail of the sculpt with? It's not something that all collectors notice or care about, but just because YOU don't doesn't mean that the difference isn't actually there.
