The difference here is that we have multiple feather trace fossils from true dromaeosaurs, and fossil bones that directly imply raptors were in fact feathered. Most damning of all, they don't weigh as much as a fucking Orca, meaning they do in fact of a need for insulation, unlike the giant Tyrannosaurids.
