Also adults simply have more money to spend than children, an adult can get himself hundreds of dollars worth of toys whereas children only get what their parents get for them.

With how much weird shit people waste their time and money on. I'm surprised toys carry any stigma at all. Why is it alright to watch let's players all day but not alright to buy the wrong kind of plastic on the free market? Besides you can make it as a content creator these days. I would much rather get money for playing with toys than wage slaving on a construction site. To me it's more childish to be infatuated with tik tokers than having a hobby collection but that's just me.
