Some CA glues respond to heat, some don't. Hopefully the joint is made of harder plastic than the piece that fits on it, because you might end up just shearing off the joint when you apply some torque. Don't go hog wild on applying heat, because you want transferred heat to remain as shallow and close to the glue itself as possible, rather than getting towards the joint shaft and possibly softening it.
Heat, test, heat, test, etc.
Hamhandling something comes from impatience and an inability to wait for results, so beware of that.
