Year of the Dragon Crimsonflame is here! I'd post some pics of his box, but unfortunately it seems to have been mangled en route from China. Fortunately, aside from a slightly bent tail tip (which I'll fix later with a blow-dryer), Crimsonflame himself is unharmed.
To start, we'll talk about his weapons and armor - while Steelbane and Skullitron were based on European knights and wielded swords, Crimsonflame seems to be based on an ancient Chinese warrior (the helmet makes me think Ming Dynasty, but I could be wrong). In addition to a new head, he also has a new belt and loincloth, cast in the same translucent yellow as his dragon horns, eyes, whiskers, cheek fluff, tail, and blast effect, but painted over in maroon and scarlet. His upper chest, shoulders, feet, and greaves are the same as the original use of the mold, but his arms now sport new dragon feet/armor on them with 5mm ports on them. He includes a shield and several other accessories - an object that seems to be a lantern or charm (complete with tassels) and is purely ornamental, a cudgel of some kind (with a neat molded ribbon coming down the side and a brass tip), a gun stylized to look like a bundle of bamboo fireworks (which can be held in either hand or mounted to the back of either wrist), and his dragon mode's breath effect, which can be plugged into the gun. All of these components can be combined into what is described as a 'spear', with the lantern becoming an ornament at the base of it and the blast effect acting as a 'blade'; personally, I'm imagining that the weapon functions like a Monster Hunter-style gunlance, able to lob mortars or focus the flame at the tip into a blowtorch for cutting rather than as a traditional spear weapon.
