TLDR for the other changes;
- Draculaura now has a cold serious and stoic personality and magic is apparently forbidden in the monster world (even though witches like Casta Fierce are considered monsters, Cleo has ancestral family amulets, and Abbey wears an ice crystal necklace to keep her cold).
- Deuce is now BMOC and captain of the sportsball team (even though that was Clawd’s role) even though he looks like an edgy outsider.
- Clawdeen skateboards??? (that was Deuce’s thing) and is way less confident, no mention of her interest in fashion design at all. Has a Normie father and a dead werewolf mother.
- Lagoona is now Latina instead of Australian, she’s part piranha and therefore freshwater instead of saltwater. (Even though Lagoona being a sea monster was a huge part of the plot with her boyfriend Gil Webber)
Cleo seems mostly the same though; bold confident queen bee who’s not the shallow mean girl she seems on the surface. Guess you can’t mess with perfection.
These changes seem so dumb and arbitrary, what were they thinking??
