30yr single collector, I do it because no one ever visits me nor do I want them too, younger co-workers and family used to like my post (before I blocked my family, otherwise nothing has changed, thats also not /toy/ related) so it's mostly self satisfaction and an excuse to get them out of their boxes least once in their lives before ending up in eternal storage for the more expensive stuff
