This board should have spoilers for these grotesque guro stories, but here goes:
I didn't have sandpaper, but AnOn told that microfiber cloth could work.
At first it did nothing, but then suddenly it caused something that looks like it melt.
I put it all back together, but later I decided to try something again.
When disassembing, a corner of the part suddenly bend, though it bend right back it left a mark. Looks like the microfibering made that corner thinner.
